Cutting and piercing of ferrous and non-ferrous metals (carbon steels, low alloy steels, stainless steels, cast iron, nickel, nickel alloys, copper, brass, bronze, aluminum and other metals and alloys). Dismantling work at site and for cutting out unwanted metals in foundry castings.

Classifications: AWS: E Ni -CI

Description: An electrode designed for smooth cutting and piercing metals in all positions. The special coating withstands high current without overheating. A forceful arc renders it possible to cut all metals and alloys .When using the electrode holds it at an angle of 450C to the job using sawing motion to cut. Closer the arc, the faster and cleaner the cut. Keep the electrodes continuously in motion holding it firmly against the surface of the metals. For piercing holes, hold the electrode perpendicular to the parts. Strike the arc and apply push in and pull out motion till the part is pierced.

Applications: Cutting and piercing carbon steels, low alloy steels, stainless steels, cast iron, nickel, nickel alloys, copper, brass, bronze, aluminum and other metals and alloys. Although the cut will not be as clean and smooth as that produced by gas cutting, the applications of the electrode extends to various metals and alloys which cannot be cut conventional gas cutting process. The electrode is also suitable for cutting and piercing out of position jobs, rivets, etc. where gas cutting is not convenient to use.
